About the Department:
The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department was established in the year 2010. The department offers Undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), degree programs that provide students with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Research in the department focuses on high-impact various disciplines: Communication systems, Wireless & Mobile networks, Signal and Image Processing, Microwave antennas, Optical communication, VLSI technologies, Embedded Systems.

The Department of ECE is one of the established departments in the institution. Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has a well-designed, constantly reviewed syllabus to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. The state-of-the-art laboratories complement the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge that they need. Electronics and Communication Engineering is concerned with designing, development, test and supervision of manufacturing of electronic equipment. Electronics has changed the entire world with its power of communication and micro-miniaturization of devices like transistors, diodes, resistors and most significantly, the Integrated Circuit Technology. These innovations have given an enormous boost to the electronics industry in the commercial world. Advancement and innovation of miniature size mobile phones, increasing speed of computers, Internet, Giga Scale Integration (GSI) Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Digital Signal Processors (DSP), etc. India is one of the biggest platforms of globalization, and the ever-increasing demand of Indian engineers in this field offers a good scope for those who really want to create a tremendous impact.
The electronics market is one of the largest in the world and is anticipated to reach US$ 400 billion in 2022 from US$ 69.6 billion in 2012. The market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.4 per cent during 2012-2020. The Indian electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) industry is at a huge inflection point. From being predominantly consumption driven, the Indian ESDM industry has a major potential to become a design led manufacturing industry. The industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. The Indian ESDM industry was estimated to be $68.31 billion in 2012.
The Flagship Schemes launched by Govt. of India such as "DIGITAL INDIA" and "MAKE IN INDIA" will create a huge demand of Electronics Engineers in the near future.
The Department has well qualified and experienced faculty members, with the availability of latest equipment in the labs. Practical training to the students is imparted to understand basics of the discipline. The department has latest equipment with all the facilities for the students.
